September 22nd of each year is “World Rhino Day,” which aims to raise awareness of the rhino crisis. Rhinos are hunted in large numbers for their horns, which are sold on the black market, stemming from the misconception that rhino horns have medicinal value, when in fact, they are just keratin, like hair.
